The Korean American Arts Council’s first annual Choom-uro Festival is an interdisciplinary showcase celebrating the diverse voices of the Korean American diaspora. Grounded in Korean cultural heritage while embracing contemporary and global forms, Choom-uro brings together communities, creative practices, and artistic perspectives.

Meaning "through dance," Choom-uro was created to answer a single question: How do we move between our heritage and our future? Rather than keeping traditional dance frozen in time, this festival places it in direct conversation with contemporary movement, global rhythms, and the unique realities of the diaspora.
