Violinist Ji-Hae Park Concert: The Hope & Love

Chang Joon Kim Mirae Korea-USA Foundation presents The Hope & Love, a solo recital by talented violinist Ji-Hae Park.
Ji-Hae Park was born in Germany in 1985. Miss Park was the grand prize winner of the National Music Competition of Germany Jugend Musiziert in 2001 (in Solo) and 2002 (in Chamber Music). In 2003, she won the second place prize, which included three special prizes, at the Remember Enescu International Violin Competition in Romania.
She studied with Prof. Ulf Hoelscher at Karlsruhe Musikhochschule in Germany (KE Degree-the highest music degree in Germany) and Prof. Jamie Laredo at Indiana University and earned a full scholarship. Additional financial support was given from the German Federal Music Department in the form of the Bucerius Scholarship. She received additional musical support from the violinist Midori Goto.
Some of her performance experience includes: The New Year Concert with Nanse Gum and Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra in three of the most important concert halls in South Korea; first instrumental invited soloist ever at “Korea National Prayer Breakfast in 2010” (with the President of the Republic of Korea and many other important leaders from fifty countries), Christmas Tree Lightning Ceremony of South Korea at Seoul City Hall; solo performance at “The New Year Concert” with Mr. Shin-Ik Hahm and KBS Orchestra; solo recital as part of the closing ceremony in the Seoul International Financial Forum (Biggest Event in Asia). She also performed many solo recitals and concerts with orchestras in Germany, Italy, England, USA, China, Switzerland and France.
Recently Ms. Park received the 2010 Most Respected Korean Award as the youngest winner ever from the FISLEA (International Professional Association), the Magazine Consumer Union Times the SYB-TV. She also appeared on the TV show, “SBS-TV Star King”.
She plays on the Petrus Guarnerius 1735 Venedig, on loan from the German Foundation (Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben) since 2003.
