This performance is a special event to commemorate the 23rd World Korean Traditional Art Competition. The esteemed Korean traditional music and dance masters who judged the competition take center stage, ready to enthrall you with their virtuosity. Also, the winners who received the Grand Prize from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea will be featured on the same stage. This will be the first official performance for the winners since winning the competition.

This special performance celebrates the timeless beauty of gugak and connects hearts and generations through the universal language of music. The evening promises not only a showcase of virtuosic performances but also an interactive cultural exchange.

Experience the rich tapestry of Korean culture at our event, “Sounds & Rhythms of Korea,” an enchanting evening of traditional Korean music and dance presented in the heart of New York. Audiences will have the opportunity to engage with the performers, delve into the historical significance of gugak, and explore its evolving role in the global music scene.
