South Korean classical guitarist Jangsoo Jun returns to Carnegie Hall to present “Four Seasons of Dokdo”, a tribute to the majestic beauty of Dokdo, the easternmost island of South Korea.

Jangsoo Jun, the first Korean guitarist to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2010, returns to premiere his original composition of all four “seasons”, consisting of twelve movements. Jun has contained his passion for Dokdo in this work; he visited the island every season as he composed the music. The concert has been overseen by the artist himself from the very beginning and is expected to promote a wide interest on the fascinating island. A number of performers join him on the stage, including Gayageum player Song Jeong Eon, guitarist Seo Manjae, baritone Ju Sungbae, soprano Chin Yoonhee, and pianist Shin Aera. Commentary and simultaneous interpretation are offered by Jun Jinah.

The concert is sponsored by the Province of Gyeongsangbukdo with support from the Dokdo Foundation.
