This musical is a part of Midtown International Theatre Festival. NAE-CHIN-GU-NEUN-SIN-BAL-DO-DUK (MY FRIEND IS A SHOE BURGLAR) by Ye-seong Hong, directed by Seung-il Shin; starring Collin Jongwoon Lim, Jimmy Kim, HyunSuk Han, Saeme Shim, Eun Gyeong Do, and Donghoon Lee. Count the holes of the sieve while you imagine your random and make-believe places. You never know what’ll happen to you.

The show is based on a Korean traditional folktale of ghost like character who comes from the underworld only on new year's eve to take a kid's pair of shoes that fits him. The tale says the owner of the stolen shoe will becomes unfortunate, sick or even dead. Thus, it became a custom for Korean kids to hide their shoes on the night of every new year's eve. 

Jungho is a lonely child who was sent to his auntie's house alone. While he struggles to adjust in a new environment with extraordinarily strong auntie, ghost seeing grandmother, and two troublemaker cousins, he encounters the ghost who come to steal his shoes and the whimsical story of this strange friendship and the mysteries of this ghost's before life unfolds.
