Bio

Dongyeon Yoo was the acclaimed pianist who played the Honor Recital of the Somerset County State Wide Competition. She received the highest score and honors in the new pianists category at the New Jersey Music Educators Association in 2002. She continued her education in Seoul, Korea, attending Sookmyung Woman’s University, and was sought out for performances in solo and duo concerts, modern music performances and others. After she received her undergraduate degree, she had her debut recital at the Music Space “Camerata”, followed by a second Recital at DS Hall in Seoul, 2007. Afterwards, she moved to Paris to continue her studies at Ecole Normale Musique de Paris and the Conservatoire National Region de Rueil-Malmaison. Ms. Yoo was invited by Elisé Sainte Croix dès Armeniens for a Piano Recital and she performed numerous concerts and won the 1st and 2nd prize medals in the Piano Concours de Brest. 

Ms. Yoo became a faculty member at the Sun-Hwa Art High School in Seoul in 2010; at the same time was invited to become a member of “The Beethoven Association of Korea”. She has performed recitals in the United States, Europe and Asia to universal acclaim, including at Steinway Hall and St. Paul’s Church in NYC. Her musical mentors include Joe Patrych, Raymond Young, Hye-soo Jeon, Francoise Thinat, Emanuel Mercier and Chantal Riou.
