Hee Ra Yoo presents the premier performance of her new dance company, Yoo & Dancers, at Green Space in Long Island City. Yoo & Dancers are inside, outside, behind, underneath and on top of the subject. The company is full of curiosity and mystery, exploring who we are – what is unique, what is exotic, what comes from far away, and what is close by? The premier performance will include Who Speaks for Wolf 2 with original music by Jonathan Manness, and Fence. Two Korean dancers, Jin Ju Song and Juri Jung, are part of the eight member dance company. Originally from Kwang-Ju, Korea, Hee Ra Yoo has performed with the Korean National Ballet, the Kirov Ballet, and the California Ballet, and has recently received her master’s degree in choreography from New York University.
