Asian American International Film Festival

July 23-July 26, 2009

The Asian American International Film Festival is the first and longest running festival in the country devoted to showcasing films created by media artists of Asian descent and about the Asian community.

This year, AAIFF will present a showcase of original feature films, short films, documentaries, and other works by artists from throughout the world. Beginning July 23 and running through July 26, AAIFF 09 will feature ten of the year’s best narrative and documentary feature films at our new Chelsea location and over 30 short films at the new Museum of Chinese in America. In addition to the screenings, the festival will also conduct panel discussions, Q&A sessions, workshops and awards.

AAIFF 09 will reach an audience of more than 7,000 during four days of programs, plus thousands more during our follow-up screenings in New York’s Asian American communities and our National Festival Tour. Hundreds of thousands of viewers and readers follow the festival in local, national and international media coverage.
