The Second Annual Korean Language Writing Contest For Non-Korean Nationals

On October 13, 2012, in tribute to the 566 years since King Sejong’s creation of the Korean language, we will be holding a writing contest for non-Korean individuals in order to further spread the excellence of Korea’s proud culture and language to those non-Koreans who study Korean. The Second Annual Korean Language Writing Contest for Non-Korean Nationals is intended for individuals residing in the four states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania and will be judged solely based on essay writing. This contest will award certificates and prize money for 1 grand prize, 1 first-place, 1 second-place, 1 third-place, and 5 honorable mentions. Furthermore, we will provide lunch for each and every contestant.   • Goal

  • Requirements of Participation
    Participants must be college students, university students, or residents in the four states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut.
     
  • Topic of Writing
    The topic will be announced at the time of the contest, and the style of writing will be the essay form.
