Synopsis: Sunhee, who runs a modest animal clinic, is fostering a puppy whose owner never returned. Out of the blue, the niece she had raised as her own shows up after ten years, only to announce that she is leaving for New Zealand the very next day.

Director’s Note: This film was inspired by my aunt, who raised me during my childhood. I hope this film invites you to revisit the memories of those who once cherished you deeply.

◆ As a married couple with multifaceted careers, WI EUNG-KYOUNG & SON GWANG-MIN have consistently collaborated across multiple films as actors, screenwriters, and directors. The 2026 short film, My Aunt, marks their first co-directorial project.

Wrong Aim 오조준

KANG SEONGJOON 강성준
2026 • Short Film • 17 min

Synopsis: High school student Hee-young, a member of the shooting team, feels that her lover Sun-joo’s feelings for her have faded and shifted toward Bo-hyun. After her attempts to win Sun-joo’s heart back end up hurting her, Hee-young takes revenge on Bo-hyun’s wife, Ah-young. Later, when she witnesses Bo-hyun and Sun-joo kissing, Hee-young realizes that everything she had set her sights on was misguided.

Director’s Note: People can never know the consequences of their actions. They simply strive to hit the target right in front of them. Pathetic yet pitiful, repulsive yet heartbreaking.

◆ KANG SEONGJOON majored in Social Welfare and entered the Cinematography program at the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) in 2025. He directed the short films <Brave Sanghee> and <Dream and Reality>, and served as cinematographer for short films including <Wheel of Obedience> and <Hold Back>.

Mixedup Shaman 월남보살 

KIM KEUNHO 김근호

Synopsis: Suyeon, a Korean girl with a Vietnamese mother, suffers from shinbyeong (a spiritual illness). She survives the grueling initiation ritual, only to discover the spirit possessing her is a Vietnamese god.

The local shaman refuses to help, claiming Suyeon must go to Vietnam to receive a foreign deity. Determined to stay in the only home she knows, Suyeon and her friends launch a wild operation to keep her in Korea.

Director’s Note: Multicultural identity is often understood through ratios—50 to 50, 40 to 60—within a spectrum that must always total one hundred. 

This film begins from a quiet refusal of that arithmetic. Rather than depicting identity as something divided or negotiated, I wanted to imagine it as something that exceeds measurement altogether: a state in which multiple lineages do not cancel one another out but accumulate. Not fifty and fifty, but one hundred and one hundred. Not a compromise, but an expansion.

◆ Born in Seoul in 1996, KIM KEUNHO studied Media & Communication in college before working on the directing teams of the Netflix series and film. He also spent a year as an assistant writer for an established filmmaker. Currently, he is pursuing an MFA in Film Directing at the Korea National University of Arts. He strives to create films that never lose sight of hope and humor.

Noise Cancellation 노이즈 캔슬링 

CHOI JIHYE 최지혜

Synopsis: After a workplace injury leaves her fighting for compensation, Miju’s nights are disturbed by haunting screams from the apartment upstairs. As she grows increasingly desperate to uncover their source, her neighbors’ behavior becomes more unsettling, and her sleepless nights stretch into torment. Then one day, a mysterious comment appears beneath an online post she had written about the screams.

◆ CHOI JIHYE studied film at Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science. Her short film La Vie en Rose(2024) was presented at several international festivals, including Venezia Shorts, Italy and the International Student Film & Video Festival. Her latest work, Noise Cancellation(2025), was screened at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

Synopsis: Soohyun, a listless piri* player, falters while accompanying a naerimgut** ritual, bringing the ritual to an abrupt halt. On the verge of walking away, she faces her past self― from the time when she pushed herself to train relentlessly despite all her suffering.

*piri : A traditional Korean bamboo flute used in court and folk music

**naeimgut : a Korean shamanic ritual in which a person receives a spirit, marking their initiation as a shaman

◆ PARK JEONG-SU was born in 1990 in Yeongyang County, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. He enrolled in the three-year MFA program in Filmmaking at the Korea National University of Arts in 2022 and is expected to graduate in 2026.
