Korean Cultural Center New York's OPENING SOIREE for Young Professionals: An Evening with Clara-Jumi Kang X NYCP

The Korean Cultural Center New York is excited to announce the kick-off event for our young professionals, featuring internationally renowned Korean-German violinist Clara-Jumi Kang, alongside the New York Classical Players (NYCP), a dynamic chamber orchestra devoted to bringing classical music to all in the New York areas.
Our Young Professionals series is our new initiative to provide dynamic and engaging programming geared towards young arts and culture patrons in the New York areas. Our focus is on Korean and Korean-American artists and to support their work in the US and to provide a platform for young professionals to engage with them and to network with those from in various areas of expertise.
2015년도 뉴욕한국문화원 'K-써포터즈' 발족('15.9월)에 이어 정‧경‧사회‧문화 등 현지 주요 분야에서 활약 중인 차세대 리더 및 한인 1.5, 2세 등을 중심으로 '영 프로페셔널 K-써포터즈' 그룹을 위한 오프닝 행사로서 “차세대 K-서포터즈 오프닝 네트워킹 행사 : 차세대 한인 바이올리니스트 클라라 주미 강과 뉴욕 클래시컬 플레이어즈 협연(Korean Cultural Center New York's OPENING SOIREE for Young Professionals: An Evening with Clara-Jumi Kang X NYCP” 행사를 9월 30일(금), 카네기홀 와일 뮤직 룸(Weill Music Room)에서 개최하였습니다.
뉴욕한국문화원 주최, Young Patrons of Lincoln Center, 코리아 소사이어티가 협력한 이번 행사에는 차세대 한국문화 애호가 리더 및 현지 음악계 관계자 등 총 200여명이 참석하여 성황리에 개최되었습니다.
아울러 바이올리니스트 클라라 주미 강을 비롯하여 문화원이 후원하는 유명 및 신진 한국계 클래식 음악인들을 현지에 소개함으로써, 클래식 종주국이었던 유럽이나 러시아를 뛰어넘어 전 세계를 강타하고 있는 K-클래식 음악 한류에 대한 입지를 강화하는 계기를 마련하였습니다.
