Her musical journey has taken her from the vibrant scenes of New York City to the heart of Seoul, where she has made an indelible mark with her captivating compositions and arrangements. In 2017, she unveiled "EE-YA-GI" on the esteemed Summit record label, a release that masterfully displayed her ability to craft original compositions and intricate arrangements. This year, the Hyeseon Hong Jazz Orchestra embarked on a thrilling new endeavor, recording another album that prominently showcases Hong's evocative compositions. This highly anticipated release is tentatively scheduled for early spring 2024 and features an array of exceptionally talented musicians, including Rich Perry on tenor sax as a special guest soloist, Jordan Pettay on alto, flute, and soprano saxophones, Matt Hong on alto and flute, Sun Yoo on tenor sax and clarinet, Andrew Hadro on baritone sax, Jonathan Saraga, John Lake, Dave Smith, and Mark McGowan on trumpets, Jassim Perales, Peter Lin, Greg DeAngelis, and Brandon Moodie on trombones, Matt Panayides on guitar, Peter Brendler on bass, and Jeff Davis on drums.
