The Isle is a remote fishing lake where people go to seek relief from their problems. Hee-jin, a mute, lives alone at the lake selling supplies, food and drinks, and even sometimes her own body to the fishermen. One day, Hyun-shik, an ex-cop who killed his lover after discovering her affair, arrives at the isle seeking for a hideout. He tries to commit suicide with his gun, but Hee-jin stops him. The incident brings them together, and a strange intimate relationship begins to form between the two.
