A red-light district pimp, Han-gi is a stranger to happiness. One day he spots Sun-hwa, a fresh-faced, pure and innocent young girl, sitting on a park bench. He feels an instant attraction and forces himself on her with a kiss in the presence of her boyfriend. She insults him enormously and so he hatches a scheme to have her sold into prostitution. He hides behind the mirror in her room, watching her with desperate love of his own. In the midst of her despair, she slowly begins to understand Han-gi's cruel but deep love for her.
